For those of you rooted Bionic users, you probably want to know how you can backup/restore apps after installing a new ROM.
Well, there’s an app for that called Titanium Backup app, available free on the Market.
Step 1. Download Titanium Backup app and install.
Step 2. Go to the “Schedules” tab and hit “RUN” under “Backup all new apps & newer versions”. You can also schedule it but I like to do it manually. Anytime you install new apps, you can run this again to make sure all your apps are backed up. Once back up starts, it will run in the background.
Step 3. The auto backup will only back up your non-system apps, meaning if there’s apps you want to backup such as Memo app, you will have to manually backup each of them under “Backup/Restore” tab.
Once you are finished backing up, you are good to go and you will be able to restore them on your new ROM as backed-up apps are stored in your internal storage.
Step 4. Go install your new ROM, then go install Titanium Backup app again from the Market. Then goto the Backup/Restore tab, hit Menu->Batch. If you scroll down, you will see an option to restore your apps, hit “Run” next to “Restore all apps with data” to restore your apps. This will re-install your backed-up apps one by one.
Now if you don’t want to re-install/restore your apps one by one, you can get the Pro version of Titanium Backup, which will auto restore your apps.
